Family lounge room with tea and coffee making facilities, microwave and fridge. Fresh sandwiches, crisps and fruit delivered daily. Private expressing room and bedside facilities with screens provided. Rooming in bedroom can accommodate both parents or a sibling with one parent. Three bedside overnight chairs are provided for establishing breast feeding.
Level two local neonatal unit providing intensive care, high dependency and special care for infants over 27 weeks (28 weeks twins). We care for infants and their family throughout their stay and into community services.
We have unrestricted visiting for parents. For siblings and family we ask that visiting is between 1400hrs and 1900hrs but will accommodate visiting outside these times for special reasons. Due to lack of space we ask that visiting is limited to two people at the bedside but there is a lounge area for visitors to wait if visiting in numbers more than two. We ask that anyone with a temperature, or cough/cold symptoms or feeling unwell, does not visit. Only siblings are permitted to visit, no other children.
Faith Leaders & Chaplaincy
We have a full range of faith leaders and pastoral support to support parents throughout their stay. Chaplaincy department can be contacted on khft.chaplaincygeneral.nhs.net or phone Kingston Hospital between 0800hrs and 1600hrs and ask for the chaplaincy department
