A new Pan London Network guideline on skin-to-skin is nearing completion. Developed by a multidisciplinary group, it aims to increase opportunities for families to engage in skin-to-skin contact, build staff confidence and highlight the benefits for both babies and their families.

It will support consistent practice across the network and strengthen parent and family involvement in care.
