Baby Charter review

• The Bliss Baby Charter Review started in July and is now underway.
• The project will last for one year, with the aim of reviewing and updating the content of the Baby Charter, so that the programme can continue to be relevant and in line with ever changing practice, especially in relation to FICare and to tackling health inequalities in neonatal care.
• Bliss will be supported by an Oversight Group comprised of 6 parents and 6 healthcare professionals and by thematic experts who will provide input and recommendations on the current Baby Charter standards.
• The Oversight Group has now been recruited (6 parents, 2 Care Coordinators, 2 Baby Charter Leads, 1 Neonatal ODN Lead Occupational Therapist and 1 Neonatal Physiotherapist) and we are in conversations with different experts to start reviewing the first sections of content.

RSV information updated

Bliss has updated its information on Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) to include the new immunisation, a single antibody injection (nirsevimab) for all babies born before 32 weeks to cover their first RSV season. This immunisation programme will begin in September 2025.
