Being in a neonatal unit as a family or a member of staff is complex, humbling, joyful, difficult, rewarding and sometimes devastating. This is a time of high reporting/investigations and lots of media attention on maternity and neonates which adds to the complexity and challenge which is already there. We wrote the attached documents to share with everyone on neonatal units to acknowledge the impact and to name some of the challenging feelings which may be coming up. Please do share it onwards as you see fit.
