Repatriation Guidance

Category: Network Updates

The newest version of the Pan-London Neonatal Repatriation Guidance has been developed through collaborative clinical expertise, bringing together insights from neonatal teams across London. The refreshed version of the guidance provides a standardised, safe, and family-centred framework for transferring neonates closer to home for continuing care. By outlining clear processes, expectations, and pathways, our aim is to ensure equity and clarity across the region, streamline the repatriation process, and ultimately enhance the experience and outcomes for babies and their families during the transfer process.
This guidance supports consistent practice, improved communication, and smoother coordination between units, helping to ensure that every neonate receives appropriate care in the right place and at the right time.
