There is currently a national shortage of potassium canrenoate injection. Various alternative imports are being considered but concerns have been raised about the practicality of dilution, as they are a more concentrated strength ampoule. Consider switching to enteral spironolactone if an infant is able to tolerate feeds and requires a potassium-sparing diuretic.
