London ODN Neonatal Conference – The Perinatal Journey – Hot Topics

We are delighted to welcome you to the first London ODN summer conference. Set within the beautiful surroundings of the Harris Birthright Centre, we have a stellar line-up of local and international speakers.

Our theme is the perinatal journey, and is divided into two parts.

The journey begins with keynote speakers : an obstetric guide to preterm management; and an update on transport research. We will also have a presentation from an external unit on their experience of extreme pre-term management. With perinatal teamwork at the top of the agenda, we have secured an outside speaker on teamwork within a different field to medicine. And with the sobering differences in neonatal mortality across different ethnic groups we will hear from the CEO of the Black Motherhood Group for her unique insight and action plan.

We will then explore areas across the network where there is divided opinion and practice, for example PDA management, probiotics and parenteral nutrition. Our probiotics talk will be an open discussion on the reasons why some units have adopted their use, but others have not.
