Abigail’s Footsteps are offering this in-person training workshop FREE OF CHARGE in the CITY OF LONDON.

Subjects covered include:

  • Updates on UK baby loss statistics
  • Updates on latest developments including the introduction of a pre-24 week baby loss certificate
  • How to communicate sensitively; What to say and what not to say
  • How do parents grieve; we will explore some of the key grief theories in relation to baby loss
  • Supporting families from different cultures and faiths
  • Professional boundaries and self-disclosure
  • Providing support in the next pregnancy
  • Self-care and wellbeing for the care giver
  • Information about baby loss support and resources

Who should attend?

Suitable for all healthcare professionals providing care for parents following a pregnancy loss and when a baby dies, including midwives and student midwives, obstetricians and neonatal doctors, neonatal nurses, fetal medicine, early pregnancy, A&E, perinatal mental health and chaplaincy teams.

Places are limited and we are expecting a high level of bookings. To ensure that everyone has an opportunity to attend our training, WE ASK YOU KINDLY NOT TO BOOK A PLACE FOR YOURSELF IF YOU HAVE ATTENDED ONE OF OUR TRAINING DAYS IN THE LAST 2-3 YEARS.
