Unit Services
Epsom is a level 1 unit caring for babies from 34 weeks gestation and upwards. The units is one large room with 6 special care cots. We specialize in supporting parents preparing for home but have the ability to stabilized unwell infants prior to transfer to level 2 or 3 centers.
UNIT ACCESS AND VISITING
• Parents have unrestricted 24/7 access to their babies including quiet time 1pm-3pm.
• Siblings of any age are welcome 11am-1pm & 3pm- 8pm including ward round times. However siblings must be completely well and no school uniforms are permitted when visiting.
• Other visitors are welcome 11am-1pm & 3pm-7.30pm but must be accompanied by a parent unless pre-arranged.
• Maximum of 3 people around the cot at any one time due to space.
Faith Leaders & Chaplaincy
At Epsom Hospital, the chapel/multi-faith room is on the ground floor near to the lifts in Wells Wing. The nurse in charge will be able to contact faith leaders of differing denominations outside of offices hours on individual request.

Hospital Information
• The Ingredients Restaurant is on the second floor of the Wells Wing, and serves sandwiches, salads, hot meals, snacks and drinks. Opening hours: 7am – 2.30pm, Monday to Friday
• The Costa coffee shop, next to the restaurant, serves drinks, cakes and sandwiches. Opening hours: 7.30am – 8pm Monday to Friday, 8am – 8pm Saturday and Sunday.
• WH Smiths, wells wing. Opening hours: 07:00- 20:00 Mon-Fri & 09:00-19:00 Sat & Sun
Travel Information
• Car: Large car park with discounted parking permits for parents; 1 permit per family at a cost of £5 per week.
• Bus: stop directly outside the front of the hospital serviced by the E5, 166, 293, 408, &479.
• Train: Epsom station provide the easiest access with frequent buses to the hospital or alternatively a 20 minute walk.
