Fresenius Kabi have discontinued manufacture and distribution of 10% glucose + 0.18% sodium chloride 500mL bags. If you are a unit who routinely uses these bags as a maintenance fluid, you may need to consider adding concentrated sodium chloride injection to 10% glucose bags, or purchasing an alternative ready-made fluid – note that some of the alternative bags available also contain potassium e.g. 10% glucose + 0.18% sodium chloride + 0.15% potassium chloride 500mL bags.
