We are a Level 2 LNU with a total capacity of 30 cots. Of these we have 4 ITU cots, 6 HDU cots, 10 SC cots and 10 ICR rooms. This is the first UK neonatal unit to provide 10 individualised care rooms (ICR) to allow family centred developmental care where parents can stay during the neonatal journey. This allows parents to learn valuable skills and knowledge whilst being supported by trained staff in order to confidently care for their baby.
We have a multi-disciplinary ward round usually between 9am to midday every day. Parents are invited to be present at this time with an opportunity for parents to ask questions. We are dedicated to the implementation of the “Unicef Baby Friendly Initiative” with the aim of promoting and improving rates of breastfeeding.
Unit acceess and visiting
Parents are encouraged to spend as much time as possible with their baby over each 24-hour period; unfortunately we do not have facilities for siblings to stay.
Grandparents, siblings and other visitors are able to visit daily between 2pm and 7pm.
Faith Leaders & Chaplaincy
The Chaplaincy-Spiritual Care Services offer spiritual and religious care, support for families and listening space in a caring, sensitive and non-judgmental approach. Their contact number is 0208 216 4600, extension 64355.

There is a restaurant near the main entrance called the Wellspring Restaurant. It is opened from 07:30am to 8pm everyday and serves hold and cold food. There is an ATM near the entrance to the restaurant.
